AnswerThere seem to be plenty of jobs out there so I believe. The problem is that employers are looking to hire people who can work a full shift and five days a week. Fifteen year olds with work permits are only allowed to work so many hours per week. ( twenty hours?) Many companies do want to deal with flexible scheduling for part time workers, when they could hire a person who will work the complete shift and overtime, etc. It's really a bummer for those young people who want some work experience. I feel companies should find ways to put youth work programs together. After all, it's the young folks who will be our next new leaders in the world. Answer
  • The thinking is that 15-year-olds need to be in school, and that going to school and working will mean not getting the assigned reading and homework done.

Put up signs saying you will sweep, clean, run errands for people locally.

Make the signs eye-catching, and be sure to put in all your details - your age, your availability, how to contact you, and how much you charge.

Also, even though you may have a good GPA, you also have to SHOW that you are educated. Most people understand that "I", when referring to yourself, needs to be capitalized, and that "I'm" is a contraction for "I am", and needs an apostrophe.

Even though you were writing your question in haste, you need to get in the habit of checking your work, and fixing it. People who are looking to hire a kid to do some work don't want to hire a slacker.

    Good luck.

  • I'm 15 years old and have been looking for a job and it seems to me that workers want people who are older and are willing to work hard. However they should give us a chance and see how we are better than normal workers, ie.16+ some of us are really desperate causing us to work hard all the time and might be struggling at school and need something to fall back on!
AnswerEmployers do not want to go through the trouble of scheduling flexible hours and especially during the school year, hours are changed often because of homework, tests, projects, extra help. so it is very hard to find an employer willing to go through the trouble of scheduling hours. I believe 15 yr old boys and girls should have the privilage to work to build character and begin their adventure into their adulthood. Though school is hard enough for some, others need the money because of their parent's finincial debt and they want to earn money to get things they want or even to give to their parents, every penny counts. Well, good luck with finding a job!
