Bernie Leadon left The Eagles in December 1975 in order to spend more time devoted to excersing and to take care of his health.
BECAUSE... THEY JUST DO!! Philidelphia Eagles might have had a tough season in 2007 but they have been better the last couple years. I'd have to say it's because they play a hard nosed, working-class brand of football that their fans (which I am proud to be one of, life long bleeding Eagles Green!) not only relate to, but truly feel a part of! GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I think it was late 73 or early 74. There is video of the band on the Don Kirshners Rock Concert in 1974 or 1975 and Leadon has on a Morehead t-shirt and Meisner has a Morehead St. Football Jersey.
The Eagles are a Classic Alternative Rock band.

To the previous answer - there is no-one named "Bernie Sneadon" or whatever. That is ridiculous. Bernie Leadon (not Sneadon) was one of the founding members of the Eagles, and was replaced by Joe Walsh prior to the release of "Hotel California. Now back to Felder... he was not replaced with a band member. Stu Smith, a session guitarist now tours with the Eagles, but he is NOT a full-bonafide band member. He's a "touring member" - a paid gun who shares none of the band's profits, nor song royalties. He's strictly hired help.
