the average boiling point of the brake fluid has dropped to a potentially dangerous level because of moisture contamination and may not meet minimum federal requirements for brake fluid.
It depends on the type of fluid and level of contamination or heat. if there is no problem with the fluid it should be left alone!
Brake fluid does not need to be changed as oil is but constantly needs to be replenished.
You need to have the brake fluid changed immediately. Washer fluid will damage all of the seals in the brake system
Brake fluid added must meet SAE recommendation J 1703 and conform to Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 116. Brake fluid should be changed every two years.
THe fluid will need flushed and changed.
You top off brake fluid when the brakes are changed. If the brake fluid is low there is a reason. Get them checked out at that time. Most auto technicians will not top off brake fluid for this reason. The fluid lasts as long as the breaks.
Most car makers recommend that the brake fluid be changed every two years. The make/model of the vehicle is not an issue, it is just that brake fluid has a "life span" of about 2 years once it is in use. Brake fluid is "hygroscopic", which means it absorbs water from the air, so after about two years of use it needs changing.
Brake fluid should have low freezing point
You need to get the trans fluid changed immediatley
Brake fluid in ANY vehicle should be flushed every two to three years depending on vehicle usage. Be sure to use the appropriate brake fluid for your Honda (don't just buy any brake fluid off the shelf.) I always flush my fluid when I replace the front disk pads. If your brake fluid is a very dark brown or worse, milky, change it immediately.
DOT 3 brake fluid
Do not drive the car. Have it towed to a repair shop and have the brake fluid changed.
