You need to check for caliper slide.....if the caliper does not slide evenly, the wear will be uneven. If your slide bolts are gummed up, rusty or seized, you will get uneven brake wear.
You probably have frozen brake caliper slider pins or a frozen brake caliper piston on one side.
buy new brake pads
Most cars have 4 brake pads in the front two per side of the car
The brake pad wear sensor is on the brake pads. On my 318ti, the sensor is on the left side, on the inboard pad.
2 on each side, the box will conatin all 4 pads.
you have to replace the pads or on one side of car they will be two wires going to the brake pads chops these join them together this will put light out
You need to check your brake pads or the sensor wire on your brake pads could have snapped
Cheap brake pads will squeel. If you bought cheap brake pads, that's probably it. Also, make sure you apply brake grease to the back of your pads (do NOT apply the grease to the side of the pad coming into contact with the rotor, apply it to the other side coming into contact with the caliper). If you don't apply break grease, this will also cause squeeling.
neither it is for the brake pad inticator control which alerts the driver that the pads are wearing thin, it is located on the drivers side front caliper, especially if it is a volkswagen
Your front pads are most likely gone on at least one side-check them.
Once the car is jacked up, remove the front tires, then with a 12 wrench key, remove the bolt that is located on the rear side of the caliper, not the one holding the brake fluid line buth the one right next to it. Pry the brake pad holder off and then remove the brake pads themselves. You will need to press the caliper's piston in, to be able to fit new brake pads since new pads will be thicker.
your brake pads could be worn out.
