Why can't Americans audition to be in a Harry Potter film? In: Movies, Celebrities |

Americans in Harry Potter Films - Not Likely
Because it is filmed in England and it would not be cost effective.
It would be necessary to get visas, work permits, arrange American level schooling etc.
The children would be separated from their parents so chaperones would have to be arranged, or their parents would have to come as well, more expense.
As there are no American children at Hogwarts (presumably the US has its own wizard school) any American children would have to have voice coaching to give them British accents.
Also there are many, many British children who can be in the films. The US has its own film industry for American children. Yeah.
