I work in a lab and we always tell our patients that they can drink black coffee with no sugar and no cream. So yes you may have plain, black coffee. The cream and sugar from the coffee would falsely elevate your cholesterol.
No you can't have anything. It is a fasting blood test.
That might depend on what the blood test is for. If you are doing fasting labwork for cholesterol or diabetes, it can effect the results. Even though the non dairy creamer is cholesterol free, it does contain sugars. These sugars can increase the fasting sugar level as well as the triglyceride portion of the cholesterol. It is recommended that if you are asked to be fasting for a lab, that you only drink water or black coffee prior to the lab.
If you drink alcohol 12 hours before the blood test for cholesterol, its traces will be found in the blood sample. It is therefore advisable not to drink alcohol.
Yes, if it's black. It's better to fast completely though.
If you drink too much caffeine you may become The Great Cornholio and need t.p. for your bunghole! :) But in all do seriousness, as long as it is black with no sugar and especially no creamer, your test will be accurate. Just be sure it is straight black coffee though, nothing else added.

User responses: No. From what I have read caffeine does affect cholesterol levels and/or the way they can be interpreted when reading results of a cholesterol blood test. I would suggest that you be clean of any caffeine - three or more days ahead of time - to obtain a caffeine-free result.Advice seems to vary. Some say that black coffee (no sugar, no milk) is fine. Sources for that listed below.
No. People often drink coffee before, during, and after drinking beer.
Since coffee comes from a plant there is no cholesterol in it at all. However if you prefer to drink your coffee with animal products added (e.g. cream, ghee) then the beverage will have the cholesterol from those additions.

No, the coffee grounds are removed from the coffee before drinking. You do not actually drink the beans.
