Why can you download video but you can't capture sound using Automatic Video Producer in Sony's Picture Package?

Because it is used for pictures and non-sound motion pictures(videos). Or you may just have an older model. also since you have the picture package you don't get sound and normally that's a bonus with the nonsound.
