most likely a short in the master switch
if problem was in one door only, it would not be in master switch
if ya kid or yourself has spilled a pop for example on the master switch,it will gum it up and cause this

It is important to know how to open and lock the doors of an owned vehicle. There is a master lock on the driver side door, that can be used to lock and unlock all the doors.
Depending on what year the car is the doors will automatically lock and what would cause them to unlock could be a faulty door latch There is a switch in the lock. probably that switch is broken in your car. If the inside lamp doesn't work when you open the door with that problem, that means the switch is broken.
Because someone would break in and steal everything
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I START MY TRUCK I PUT THE KEYS IN THE INGNTION AND I HAVE TROUBLE STARTING IT I BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE SAFETY LOCK
Then you have to lock and unlock the doors by hand.
Yes.
Open the door and in the lock itself is a keyhole. Insert your ignition key into the hole in the lock and turn a quarter turn. This will lock the child lock and obviously ,turn in the other direction to unlock. Rory
Many of the newer vehicles automatically lock the doors when the vehicle starts to move. Some have provision to disable that feature, but most do not.
Use the remote door lock to lock the doors, then unlock, then lock. The alarm should be reset. If not get in the vehicle, lock all the doors with them closed, unlock them, relock them walla alarm reset!
you should go to your dealer to get it programmed.i don't think it will cost a penny While you could do that, the answer is on page 22 of the owner's manual, along with a number of other settings using the data access function (buttons one and two on the turn signal stalk.) I got my 2003 330xi to 'automatically lock the doors while driving' by opening the door manually with the key (stick the key in the driver's door and manually unlock it). After that, the doors will automaticlly lock when you go over ~10mph or so. If you unlock the door with your radio key (remotely by pushing the button) it won't work. Crazy, I know, but try it! Damon
