Yes. Years ago I went to a tug of war contest at a circus. It was a radio promotional. I was dumb enough to get inside the loop at the end of the rope. They requested there be 400 men to pull the elephant. Well there wasn't, instead about 40 men and 150 woman and children showed up. Since I was at the end of the rope I could move around from side to side and see the elephant, and its trainer. Well I really had never put any thought into just how strong a elephant was, but I certanly shoud have. the trainer would spank the elephant on the rear to make it go forward to make us think that we were pulling it. Then he would go around to the front of the animal and spank it in the nose to make it walk backwards. Well to make a long story short, the elephant got tired of this and went out of control. It turned around and bolted off at top speed. Like I said earlier I was in the loop at the end of the rope, I went sailing through the air and through the crowd hurting many people including children. I will never foget that. So my answer to your question is this, YES ELEPANTS CAN WALK BACKWARDS.

Um, sorry to burst your bubble, but no. Elephant can press their heads to the ground with all fours on the ground as well, but cannot stand on their heads, for the weight of their bodies would crush there heads...

Technically, no.

However, elephants do communicate through subsonic vibration in the ground which they pick up with their feet. Those vibrations through the feet can mean many different things to an elephant.

Tigers (and all other cats) are "digitigrade," meaning basically that yes, they walk on their toes. The joint in a standing cat's leg that's roughly halfway between the body and the ground corresponds not to the human elbow or knee, but to the human wrist or ankle.

Tigers will normally put the rear foot in place where the front foot was. Their gait is the same as all cats, a gentle rolling stride.

Five toes on each foot. It is the weird dangly thing on the left side (If it is the right paw). If it is the left paw it's on the right side.

in the 17th century, elephants have been known to ride a human racer in the dead of night under a blue moon next to a safarri with a pink dress on. RIP tupac

What sounds do elephants make?

Elephants make a number of sounds. They make specific sounds related to sex and danger which we can hear and understand. However, they have a much larger number of sounds which are too low in frequency (infra sound) for our ears to hear which is propagated via the elephant's legs and feet through the ground over great distances. The most common sound (that we can hear) that elephants make is called trumpeting. We can also hear them make a low rumbling noise. Examples of this can be heard by clicking on the related link.
