He was crucified.

Another thought:
Many feel that God did not die (Habakkuk 1:12, 1 Timothy 1:17)(Psalm 90:2), but that his SON, Jesus,(Matthew 16:16)(Romans 5:10+11)died on an implement of torture, when he was sent forth BY God(Isaiah 53:7/Revelation 13:8), as a sacrifice for our sins (John 3:16), and resurrected BY GOD (Acts 2:24-28+32/Acts 13:32-35) providing hope for our future(Acts 17:30+31). Prophecies about this 'Christ' (anointed one-Acts 10:38) were given to Moses thousands of years ago(Deuteronomy 18:15/Acts 3:22-26) and fulfilled in Jesus.(John 6:69)(Luke 9:20)(John 1:29)(Psalm 71:19+20/Matthew 12:40)(Romans 5:12-14/1 Corinthians 15:45)

Answer 1

Because nobody believed in him anymore.

Just like Ra.

Ra was an Egyptian sun god who was worshiped way back around 2400 BC. Ra is no longer "alive" since there is no one left to believe in him.

You see, since gods are not real, the only way for them to "live" is through belief. When you stop believing, they simply go away. But that's okay. It simply means you're growing up.

Answer 2

God is dead. P.S He was not real and Jesus have 3 son that not in The Bible.

For a significant percentage of the world's population, God is very much a continuing and real part of the universe, who still has real and authoritative power. I would be incorrect, from this perspective, to say that God is dead because He is no less real now than He ever was and, furthermore, the concept of death cannot apply to something that exists beyond the confines of temporal life.

However, there are those who will say that "God died" and these arguments fall into several categories:

1) Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross: According to Christianity, Jesus Christ was the Son of God and part of the Trinity that forms God. He sacrificed himself in order to provide expiation for the sins of humanity and, therefore, died in an Earthly temporal sense. Afterwards, he rose from his tomb and ascended to heaven, which is supposed to be a triumph over death. However, he still had to go through the process of dying in order to serve as expiation.

2) Nietzsche's "God is Dead": This is probably the most famous quote of Nietzsche's and often wildly taken out of context. Nietzsche's argument is that "God" was a crutch used by people who did not have scientific answers as to how the world functioned to answer those kinds of questions. By innovating and discovering the natural laws of the universe, we had lessened and lessened God's ability to explain, effectively making God moribund because His purpose was eroding. Atheists make this same argument today concerning religious arguments about God's presence in scientific phenomena, calling it a "God of the gaps" with individuals like Neil deGrasse Tyson arguing that this God is constantly being eroded. Of course, if God has some kind of metaphysical or teleological purpose, then God is not moribund simply for being no-longer-necessary for explanations of physical phenomena, but that view of God is necessarily smaller.

3) Abandoned Gods: Any god that is no longer worshiped, like those of the Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Semitic, or Ancient Norse Pantheon, is effectively dead because worship in those gods has ceased.

Jesus Christ is believed to have died physically on the Cross for the forgiveness of the sins of all mankind. Here is a timeline of the events of His Passover meal to His Resurrection back to the spiritual Heaven with His Father who is spirit and can never die:
Last Supper - Passover night, 25 April 31 AD, 4th Passover as Sir Isaac newton first postulated

Crucifixion - Passover day 25 April 31 AD, just before sunset and start of High Annual Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

Resurrection - Saturday Sabbath, 28 April 31 AD, just before sunset and start of first day - Sunday. Jesus ascends to the Father as the 'wave sheaf' offering for mankinds' sins

Ascension - Thursday, 7 June 31 AD or 40 days after the Resurrection awaiting Holy Spirit

NT Church - Pentecost Sunday (50 days after resurrection Saturday), 17 Jun 31 AD and release of God's Holy Spirit to all He chooses (see John 6:44; 65).
