It gave the British more land North and West of the colonies, which Britain gave all of the land West of the Mississippi River to Spain. It gave Britain control of the fur trade. I think most important of all, it caused the Revolution indirectly. This is because the colonists couldn't claim independence before because there was a threat of French attack and the colonies needed Britain's army for defense. After the war, they didn't need Britain's support for defense. The end of the French and Indian war also indirectly caused Pontiac's War indirectly causing the Revolution because it forced Britain to pass the Proclamation of 1763, which prevented colonists settling West of the Appalachian Mountains.

Why was winning the French and Indian War the beginning of the conflict for the british and the colonists?

One reason is that after the French and Indian War, Britain was in debt, because it had spent so much money on the war. Because they needed money, they taxed the colonists, which led to the colonists disagreeing with the unfair taxation, which led to riots and tension between the colonies and Britain, which led to many conflicts, eventually resulting in th Revolutionary War.
