Actually, Steven Adler was fired on July 11th, 1990, allegedly due to drug/alcohol abuse. This is somewhat ironic as every member of the band used some form of drugs and alcohol throughout their career. Steven went on to perform with them for Farm Aid IV in Indiana.
In October of 1991, Adler filed a lawsuit against GN'R claiming they had caused his drug/alcohol addiction. This issue wasn't settled until 1993.

∙ 14y agoDrug addiction. Honest. They were all doing drugs, but Adler couldn't cope and wouldn't admit he couldn't cope, so they kicked him out because he couldn't play anymore. Next they saw of him was across a courtroom as he sued them.
