Billy Bud is moderate , kind , hand some, and strong . He doesn't know what is enemosityt , his conscious is his heart, and his leader is his feeling which is not distroyed among ugly , bad nature men.Now the question is that; why does Billy Bud so compelete in behavior? As a matter of fact naturally he is good,the beauty of nature is reflected in face and his social standards, which distinguish him from others. So , as perfect man ,the evil in society couldn't bear him. Our society is settlement of confliction between bad and good, earth and heaven.So it would be true to persume the conflict between Billy and Claggert is not surprising, and like the most of the crisis the devil is winner. But it should not forgot that Melvile is the author of allusion and symbols and story of Billy Bud is the story of human nature which is consisited of two elements of good and evil. Man better part is his saviour . This saviour is natural, innocent and clean but the devil part is leader to malevolent and satanic dead. Melvile emphasised that human being is under influence of his evil part rather than his best part , and this is reason of social disteruction.
