On November 19, 1581, Ivan beat his son's pregnant wife because he was angry with her because of the clothes she wore. She miscarried the baby as a result of the beating. His son argued with Ivan about this beating. In a fit of rage, Ivan struck his son on the head with an iron-tipped staff. The son lay in a coma for several days before he died of the festering wound. Ivan had always had a good relationship with his eldest son, and was overcome by grief, beating his head againt his son's coffin. He did later show some remorse over his son's death.

Ivan the Terrible did such bad things to people because he didn't get the childhood he wanted. His parents died when he was very young and the maids beat him. He was lonely and felt trapped. He used to bang his haid on the floor over and over again. He always had a bruise on his forehead. So to let his anger out, he was mean 2 peoplE.

- he took out his anger on the people because of the lack of moral education he shouldve gotten from his parents. he was not treated like a Grand Prince when he was young. the nobles took advantage of him and they killed the people who became close to him and his uncles. his paranoia also contributed.

As a matter of fact Ivan never ment to kill his son. IT is said there is a lot of thery's as that Ivan killed his son because his son's wife was badly dressed for pregnac. Others say that he was angey so he just hit his son in the skull with a dagger for no reason.
