∙ 12y agoKurt Cobain smashed his guitar on stage because he wanted to give the crowd a good show. I was watching Kurt Cobain's documentary on the Boiography channel, and Dave Grohl, former drummer of Nirvana, said that at one of Nirvana's first shows, Cobain smashed hi guitar on stage and Grohl asked him, "Why did you just do that?!" because that was the only guitar he owned at the time. I guess the routine just stuck once Nirvana released Nevermind and they got really popular and rich, you know, so then Kurt could afford multiple Guitars to smash.
