Why did a reply to a question disappear? |

There are a number of possible reasons for this, including:
- Your answer may not have been unique, i.e., someone else may have given the same basic information in another answer.
- Your answer didn't directly address the question.
- Your message may have been offensive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate. This is unlikely, but many nasty people do abuse this free service.
- Your answer may be incorrect.
- Your answer may have been based on opinion rather than fact.
- It's also possible that someone has deleted the answer for no good reason, in which case you should be able to find the answer in the question history.
