Alternate theories
The Kennedy assassination is one of the most debated events of the 20th century. There are many alternate theories as to the exact circumstances of the assassination.
Some hold that Oswald was not the real shooter, in which case he did not use any rifle.
There is also some controversy as to which exact Carcano rifle was used since there is a 36" and a 40" version and Oswald may have owned both.
Another alternate theory is that the actual rifle found in the book repository was a Mauser, but the Carcano was substituted to frame Oswald.

∙ 11y agoIt seemed that Ruby wanted to take revenge after Oswald killed JFK. Of course, people immediately suspected that Lee Harvey Oswald was killed to make sure that he did not tell who had hired him to kill Kennedy. Jack Ruby did have some connections with the underworld, but much questioning and investigation led to the conclusion that he was acting on his own and so moved by Kennedy death that he decided to exact his personal revenge in Oswald.

As Oswald passed close to him Ruby stepped forward and shot him at point blank range with a pistol. This event occured on live television so millions of witnesses saw him commit this crime.
