Cats were seen walking around at night way back in time. Sinse the cats were seen mostly at night, people thought that all cats were black. The Celts believed that cats were people turned into cats by evil powers from a witch. Sinse the witch was already a Halloween symbol, the black cat was made a symbol as well.
