Exuse me but the terms for it is empire.

The Aztecs had to leave their emprie because the spanish conquestidors came over to their empire with armor, horses and other materials that the Aztecs didnt know about. They forced them out of their land and killed off most of the Aztecs. But today you can still find Aztecs in Mexico and around in Central America. Doing all of their old cultures. Although they did find other materials so now they are more advanced with their tools.
