There were two reason that Egyptians wore amuletes. The first is for just looking good, and rich. The other reason is religon. They believed that if they had a Scarab with them then they would have a safe journey to the under-world.

∙ 12y agoThe egyptians would use amulets for protection. some of the amulets were for protection against sickness and some were for protection against evil gods and monters/spirts in the afterlife. Some were simply worn for good fortune in real, or afterlife.
