Why do I have all the symptoms of Low thyroid and I am already on Levothyroxine?

Is it dangerous to have low thyroid result. i do not feel that bad but dr has said i need levothyroxine. will i get really ill if i dont take it?
it is not dangerous to have low thyroid but you shold take levothyroxine other wise your thyroid gland can get swollen and then you will have a fat neck
