Why do Irish dancers wear wigs?

Answer

Because it is much easier than having to curl your hair into ringlets.

And the ringlets are because about 50 years ago the competitions would be on a Sunday and you would always look your best for church and would curl you hair and so the girls would go to the competitions with ringlets....

Then an easier solution came along... WIGS!

VoilĂ . Hope this helps
