They don't. Next time you go, look around the edges and the back and you will find chairs for the elderly and sick to sit in. The lack of pews, benches, etc is because Muslim prayer dictates prostration, which would be difficult if everyone had to leave the sitting area, walk to the prayer area, and then pray.
