The comfort control in the door allows windows to raise themselves when you lock the car by turning the key in the door lock twice when locking. It is possible this switch, computer, is going bad if the windows lower by themself.
broken switch or fuze
If the windows don't go all the way down, it is likely they are designed that way because of the shape of the door and can not be fixed.
Put windows all the way down then all the way up one at a time.
could be the setting you have it on (some keys, when pressed twice, makes windows go down
on the coupe all the windows rolled down and on the hardtop roadrunner the back windows didn't go down, they pushed outward.
First of all, you have to remove the plastic casing on the door its self. I.E if you bend down and look up at the door handle on the part to the far left you should see a "slot" that looks like a screwdriver could fit in. manover that piece off and underneith you will find the key lock. P.S I have just bought a brand new passat and only found this out by the dealer demonstating.
They don't go all the way down. You could break them?!
