probly because your cat really really likes you,because cats dont like to share their food, except wild cats, but even then they are touchy about it to. if your cats bringing you dead mice and such what, then its a good sign :]
It's a present for you. You can't really scold them for it, because it's in their nature. They do it because they love you and want to share. There's not much to do other than to dispose of it when they bring it on.
