Often, children with learning disabilities create stories. It is known to science that children often develop this habbit once bullied or hurt. Some times it is developed through sibling rivalry. It is important for guardians to support the child in every way possible. DO NOT treat these children like they are special. In this case, children are looking for attension. This can be caused from lack of parental guidence/supervision or favoritism. Understand that you cannot believe everything you hear from your child. Punishment is not the answer, clearly set boundries. "Ruff Housing" should be strickly forbidden. Children with this case should not be locked in there rooms unless punished other wise, they tend to feel forgotten. Do not let children such as these to play Video Games over 30 minutes. Children under 13 should ONLY watch PG and G movies, other ratings are inapporopriate and tend to cause the child to want to relate to the movie. Your child will make up stories. In this case, sometimes the child will believe its true after an amount of time. Try looking for a face or motion the child does when he/her lies.
