Dogs can sneeze for many reasons one of the most common is when they are smelling a person they tend to sneeze. But if these questions apply to you then you may want it looked at.

Does your dog suffer from allergies?

Has your dog been outside and/or unsupervised for any period of time recently?

Did you see any swelling or asymmetry to your dog's face?

Does there appear to be any sign of infection?

Did you see any bleeding from your dog's nostrils?

Does the airflow through your dog's nostrils seem difficult or uneven?

If you saw any of these you should have a veterinarian look at it.

Labrador retrievers are not the only dogs to sneeze when they are excited. Many Dog Breeds do this. The reason for the sneeze is to let you know that they are playing. Dogs sneeze when they play with one another to show that they are being playful, and not serious.

It is believed that rather than sneezing in the standard way when excited, dogs exhale sharply to mimic one as a form of communication.
