Most keep them in cages so that the wild animals and other predators can't get them. Sometimes they stay in cages so they lay their eggs in one spot and the eggs are easier to collect. Free range chicken eggs can be found in some pretty weird dark corners of a barn.

Farmers grow crops because people want crops and are too lazy to make them on their own sometimes. So farmers make their crops, put some to the side for themselves, and then sell them to the store and they sell it to us.

Cattle are much too large and need too much space to move around to be kept in cities or residential areas. Cattle also require a lot of feed and grazing space (not to mention they produce a lot of manure every day), which make them very difficult to raise in an urban environment.

because they give milk. Cows are also raise for slaughter to provide meat. The hide of the cow also provides leather for leather products. Cows also provide manure which is used to grow crops.

There's many farmers in the world that don't have cows, but of course this depends on where you live. If you're in a second- or third-world country having a cow or a herd of cows is a sign of prosperity. Otherwise, cattle are great for meat, milk, draft work, and for keeping the grass down around the hut or house or pasture.

Horses nowadays are only for pleasure/recreational purposes on farms. However, they are still used as working ranch horses for working livestock like cattle, sheep, bison, and other horses. On farms, though, tractors have long since replaced the horse as far as field work is concerned.

why chickens cant fly?

Chickens can fly for short distances. In the wild, they roost in trees, not on the ground. Chicken farmers will "pin" their wings to keep them under manageable control. "Genetically-modified" chickens are raised for human consumption, and are not structurally the same as wild birds. Normal chickens can fly pretty well, and banties can fly as well as partridges! (i.e. not as high or as far as migratory birds).
