Yes it is perfectly natural behavior for a goldfish to eat its own eggs and/or fry. That is why you must sepperate the parents from the eggs/fry when you breed goldfish.

∙ 14y agoGoldfish are omnivors which means they will eat almost anything they can get into their mouths. Baby fish are a good source of protein. Most fish love to eat protein in the form of baby fish including Goldfish.
