Really, really good heroin makes you itchy all over. As soon as you smoke a couple of hits of really good heroin, your whole body starts itching all over. This is true of other strong opiates, too (like morphine and oxycodone).

The reason is that heroin releases histamines in your body (histamines are what produce physiological symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, etc., in order to flush out bacteria and viruses. They are your body's response to, and defense against, invading bacteria and viruses.) Basically, heroin releases these histamines, which trick your body into thinking it's itchy.

Itchy skin is characteristic of heroin withdrawal. If you are itching, you are already at least partially-addicted. Quit now.

Heroin induces a release of histamine which causes itching and redness of the skin similar to a mild allergic reaction. This is a normal side effect. While withdrawal is accompanied by a cluster of unpleasant symptoms, itching is not one of them.

First off, I am not a doctor, but an occasional user. Today I got something (really good), and after the first shot, my whole hand instantly got a rash from the elbow all the way down to my fingers. The thing is that this was the only time this has ever happened to me, and I am also wondering why. Maybe it was an allergic reaction to one of the things the dude cut it with, but yet again, I'm not a doctor. I hope this helped.

Heroin makes you quite itchy if it is decent, so yes if the ecstasy pill contained mostly heroin then it would most likely make you itchy as well.

I would watch out, the last time i took ecstasy i can tell you that there was no MDMA or MDA in the thing... Only Meth. If your getting that itchy, then it sounds like you were just taking heroin. I speak from experience when i say you don't want to get involved with heroin my friend, and honestly I've heard much worse things about meth so i'd be damn careful.

Perhaps find a more reliable dealer....

No itchy skin is NOT a characteristic of heroin withdrawal actually the furthest thing from. When a person just starts using heroin no matter the way of introducing it to your body it causes itchy skin. Why I have no idea. But people don’t think that when your smoking heroin and your itching that your already withdrawing people that have no experience with a certain thing need to stay away from the type an answer box. Stay away.

One more thing it causes itchy skin at the behgining meaning you are not addicted the longer you use the more and more itchiness stops happening when getting high.
