Chimpanzees have 48 (24 pairs) chromosomes while man has 46 (23 pairs). This is due to the fact that one pair of chromosomes fused during the course of human evolution. Chromosomes have end cap markers called "Telomeres" to protect them from damage. They also have a marker called "Centromeres" that shows where splitting (mitosis) happened in the center of the chromosome. Scientists found in 2004 that the center of human chromosome #2 had two connected Telomeres, meaning that the ends of two chromosomes had fused. For more, see:

In humans, the Y chromosome is noticeably shorter than the X chromosome.
LMFAO
Humans have a larger forehead than chimps because God had put everyone completely different on this planet. Chimps have nothing to do with humans relationship. Chimps have a smaller brain than humans because humans have a soul and through that soul they think a lot and need a larger mind than any other creature because a human is a unique creature sent from God. Thanks for asking :) anytime
no, they are not. Chimps have almost the exact molecular structure as humans therefore chimps can hold more information in their brains
can organisms with fewer no of chromosome reproduce more easily than organim with more
Chimps have much, MUCH greater pound for pound strength than humans. Chimpanzees also have much greater bone density, better muscle attachments and much better reflexes. It's no contest. Chimps are physically superior to humans.
Because they're most disposable than humans.

Potatoes have 48 chromosomes while humans have only 46.
Fruit flies have fewer chromosomes in their bodies because of the simplicity of their life. Having only few purposes, their DNA needs fewer chemical reactions to keep it alive for its life span.

Yes.
one more than humans
Ploidy is another species that has 23 chromosomes. Many organisms have more than two sets of homologous chromosomes.
