If it is deep pain (inside the skull), it could be a migraine. If it can be relieved with a recommended dose of over-the-counter medicine, it probably is not a migraine, and should be discussed with your doctor if it persists.
If it is shallow or just under the skin, it usually ends up being muscular - a pulled muscle, muscle spasms, a "crick in the neck", or having slept in an awkward position. Or just plain stress. Get a massage and find some exercises to improve circulation and muscle tone.

∙ 13y agoGenerally one sided headache pain is migraine. However, you may be suffering from temporal arteritis or even tension headache. Best bet is to see a neurologist and get diagnosed properly as soon as possible.
