well to be honest, technically their would not be any KKK, if they

didnt hide there identity, because they would all be killed if they show there face,

but also because they worthles and have nothing on this planet anymore,so they just want to take it out on the non whites, which is stupid,my question for KKK would be,if they really believe in racism and WS,then why don't they show there face,in public

To keep their identities a secret. As a group they were powerful but as an individual they are vunerable. They could be hunted down along with their families. Their hoods also kept them from getting arrested.

It is obvious why the KKK covers their faces. The mere fact that what they represent is, so often, against the law. They cover their faces because they practice hatred, racism, and to often acts of violence that they simply just don't want to be identified. Lastly, they cover their faces because many times they are, so called, respected citizens attempting to cover their try feelings about what they see as justice or acts of justice, when in fact, they are perpetuating the racism and hatred that this land was built on since the days of the killing of the Native Americans.

They didn't in the beginning. They only began covering their faces when they were forced to do so for social reasons.

In the beginning, the KKK was seen as a benevolent force in parts of the racist south. Later, when the popularity of the KKK was waning, the members, who were occasionally high ranking members of society, did not want the public to know that they were in the Klan.

For example, Alan owns a business, and he is also in the Klan. If Bob knows that Alan is a Klansman, he will not want to shop in Alan's store. So Alan wore a mask so that nobody would know that he is in the KKK.

Because the KKK was a secret society (the "Invisible Empire") its members disguised themselves.
