curiosity to see what's in that box or behind that corner, seeing another cat could make them want to play or attack him, many cats want to chase birds, also not being aware of the dangers like cars and some evil people out there.but sometimes they just want to get outside and roll over on the grounds.

Cats have a variety of instincts, including the instinct to mate, and the instinct to hunt, both of which usually cannot be done at home. Even though your cat has enough to eat, since you feed it, cats still have a built-in urge to hunt and kill things. They are predators.

If your outdoor cat insists on loathing the indoors, this might be due to the cat not liking being trapped. A cat that gets to go outside often enjoys the freedom and doesn't want to be kept indoors.

Because outdoor cats are alittle bit wilder. If your cat stays indoors then it will not be wild.

As with all cats, it is the safest to keep a Norwegian Forest Cat indoors. The cat should be fine if it is provided with a cat tree with scratching posts, interesting toys, a perch which allows it an outside view of its home, and one-on-one time with its owner.

What do you do if you are allergic to cat pelt and have cats?

"Cat" allergies are not usually to the cat or their fur but to dander or to mites. First find out what you are allergic to from your doctor as there are multiple treatments available. Second, there are allergy shampoos that you can use to bathe your cat. These cut down on the allergens. Also, be sure to wash you hands after petting the cat, keep the cat out of your bedroom, and keep you cat indoors. It's been proven that indoor/outdoor or just outdoor cats bathe themselves more and their saliva may be what you are allergic to as well.

If your cat was a outside cat but i have to make him stay in all the time is that unhealthy for the cat?

If the cat has ample room inside in which to explore and play, and enough stimulation, food, water, and care, then it isn't unhealthy for the cat to be indoors in the least. In fact, indoor cats live longer than outdoor cats.

What breeds of cats are outdoor cats?

There are no specific breeds of cat that are typically "outdoor" cats - it really depends on each individual cat's personality. Some cats prefer to stay indoors all their lives, while others like to go outside when they want to. Being outside allows independence and freedom. But, being an outdoor cat can be dangerous if you live in a urban area. Any cat can be an outdoor cat (if it so wishes - never try and "force" a cat to go outside if it doesn't want to) as long as it's not declawed. Also, most pedigree breeds are kept as indoor cats, due to their value. Some pedigree breeds are known to be ignorant about roads, and are at risk from being stolen.

Can tabby cats live indoors?

Yes. Each year many people choose to keep their pets all-indoors. it keeps the pet safe from outdoor harm. Like any other cat, a tabby (which is not technically a breed, so much as a marking-- did you know?) could adjust to this lifestyle. However, it requires more exercise and playtime, as the cat does not romp around and exercise outside. It you do not, you will get a chubby kitty and shorter time with your cat. No matter what, you should spay or neuter your cat. But when keeping your cat indoors, it is not quite as important. Your male cat may spray, and females can be a problem, too. But at least you won't come home one day to find your outside she-cat pregnant. Many people have inside pets, and it is good for the wildlife, for your cat, and for you.

Will a cat that goes outside grow bigger then a cat that stays indoors?

No. Growth is determined by a cat's genes, not by its environment.

Do humans pick up infection from cats?

If the cat is an outdoor cat, some of the infections the cat contracts can be transferable to humans, such as toxoplasmosis. Most people get the misconception that the infection comes directly from cats, but in fact it is the cat that gets infected when it hunts and eats infected meat, and so the parasite is passed in the cat's stool. People can get this parasite only when the cat itself is infected (generally lasts for about two weeks), which is why it's a good idea to keep the cat indoors.

Outdoor Cats Need Pet Health Insurance?

Outdoor cats are much more likely to need emergency medical care than those cats who live indoors. Outdoor cats tend to get into fights with other cats, causing cuts, bite wounds and infections. They also hunt other animals, which can lead to infections and diseases. If you have an outdoor cat, you should consider purchasing cat health insurance to cover the medical costs associated with these incidents. The cat insurance will cover the cost of the vet visit and any medications or necessary medical procedures. It also covers the costs of regular examinations and vaccines.
