1. the parents don't trust their kids

3. They want to know more about their kids
4. They just want to know what their kids have been up to
5. Their reallly bored
6. They think their kids did something bad
7. They want to make sure the kids aren't texting too much
8. They're worried about their kids
9. If its like Christmas or something, they want to know what to buy their kid
So there you have it. Nine reasons a parent would look through their kids text messages. Parents only look through you phone if they really love you!!! :)

I cannot imagine a responsible parent finding any redeemable qualities in Lady Gaga, in fact, she frightens the devil out of me, and I am nearing sixty. This is an opinion question. Lady Gaga expresses herself openly, and many people admire that and want their kids to express themselves and have a voice. This does not mean every parent who agrees with this statement wants their kids to look like lady gaga. It means that they want their kids to have a voice and show it, through any way, wether its through clothes/looks or social networking etc. However many people think Lady Gaga is weird, and do not want their kids to look up to someone like that.

I feel that a parent should be patient with their children. Parents should be consistent with the rules and punishment. When rules and punishment change it is confusing for the child. By being consistent a child will be more apt to understand what you want. I parent should follow through with their word. If you tell a child not to do something or else you will take their toy away follow through the first time around. If the child tries you and you just look at him or her with a disappointing look they will not take your word seriously and will think it is a game. I also think that a parent should monitor their own actions and how they talk in front of their children. Kids are like walking sponges. They absorb everything. If a parent says or does something in front of their kid, the kids will pick up the behavior.
