People celebrate Christmas because it is about multiple things. But the most important event in this holiday is the birth of Jesus. Christmas is here to think about religion and the less important events are Santa, and snow fun but they are still part of Christmas

Christmas itself is fairly modern concept people did not always celebrate this. On a research standpoint no one knows when Jesus was born or in what season a lot of people do rule out it was winter some Even argue Jesus was born in the spring or fall. Nowhere does it says Jesus was born in December. this December event Was created and passed down as a tradition, There was a merge of pagan and Christians celebration of the winter solstic: the sun staying out longer when it is usually darkest in winter and the celebration of the son of God Jesus . That’s why you will get one of two answers it’s has pagan origins as well as Christian origins.

Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life.
