Why do people get hooked to narcissists even after breaking up?

For a lot of us, there is nothing better than a challenge. A narcissist is the ultimate challenge. If you can get one to love you (more than they love themselves), you feel pretty special. Everyone wants that feeling, but it's so much healthier to find someone that returns your emotions.

Narcissists hate everyone equally whatever the colour, even themselves deep down which is why they feel the need to lie about their thoughts and cover up their wrongdoings.
Why does it seem Narcissists are unable to see your heart?
Narcissists are strictly "me" type of people. The world revolves around them! They are smarter than everyone else and they look their nose down at most people that they feel have "stupid" qualities about them (even though these people are not stupid.) They are Euphoric, ego-maniacal, callous, cold-hearted unless it's what they want. They use and abuse people and when finished with them they throw them away like an old rag doll. Narcissists are capable of loving someone but their own ego shadows their reasoning's and Narcissists want YOU to listen to what they have to say and listen to nothing of what you may have to say. They play mind games and, if he is a true Narcissist they aren't far off from having Sociopath tendencies.

A narcissist has an inflated sense of ego and their own importance. They often boast and use put downs. But they rarely display anger, even if they feel angry.

Narcissism and depression are unrelated. It is my belief that narcissists are prone to depression particularly when narcissistic supply has left. They may even have suicidal thoughts but rarely act on them. Good lord! How would the world survive without them!
