People are negative towards teenage pregnancies because they normally happened by accident, the parents aren't responsible enough to take care of a child and it is common belief that it is wrong to have a child without marriage.

Statistics have proven that young women who have children at a young age are more apt to quit school, become single parents, live in poverty, and have more children. This puts a strain on society and the family. Today it is easy to prevent a unwanted pregnancy and accident or ignorance are not excuses for having a child as a teen. The social problems that result impact everyone through out the society because the society usually ends up supporting the young woman and her children.
