Many insecure people with a poor self image and poor social skills think people are singling them out and staring at them. That is a classic neurotic habit. In some strange wrinkle in their imagination they think they are the center of attraction when actually, no one notices them at all and they are just a part of the "people landscape", blending in with everyone else. You should ask yourself if you have mistakenly viewed yourself as the center of everyone's attention when they really aren't looking at you in any particular way at all. Try imagining that you belong where you are just like everyone else and you are just part of the crowd.
