Simply because Laptops are made to be portable and if we had a heat sink in a laptop it would be about 5 inches this which would look ugly and it does suck because laptops overheat very easy that's why it is so important to clean all the dust from your fan every 2-6 months because dust builds up so fast and if you look at a Computer you will see that usually there is a fan on the heat sink to call down the processor and there is a fan at the front that pulls all cools the hard drives and disc drives ect. and there will be one at the back to help cool down the rest of your pc and you can add more in if you want because the cooler your system the better it will run. Like with most computers we could leave them running for a week and it wouldn't get that hot but with a laptop if we leave it on for about 24 hours it will get really hot and it might shut itself down.

What are the processors that require one voltage for external operations and another for internal operations?

Those processors that require two diffrent voltages (one for external opertatoins and another for internal operatoins) are called Dual-Voltage Processors. Other processors are called single-voltage processors.... You know dat's right! :D

Do all processors require an operating system?

Yes, all processors do require some type of operating system. If not a computerized operating system, then it's a humanly operated system.

Why do processors require large amounts of money for their operations?

Interangency

What is the difference between AMD computers and Intel computers?

AMD and Intel are two different brands of microprocessors. Consumers have different needs; some require a processor that works at lightening fast speed whereas others need something that will have a longer life and not need as much maintenance. Intel has gained in popularity with their lower end processors allowing manufacturers to have a lower selling price on computers and laptops.

What is a mobile processor?

A mobile processor is a CPU designed to save power. Mostly it is used in notebook computers. See notebook processor. A notebook processor is a CPU optimized for notebook computers. All computing devices require a CPU. One of the main characteristics differentiating notebook processors from other CPUs is low-power consumption. The notebook processor is becoming an increasing important market segment in the semiconductor industry. Notebook computers are an increasingly popular format of the broader category of mobile computers. The objective of a notebook computer is to provide the performance and functionality of a desktop computer in a portable size and weight. Low power consumption is a primary consideration in the choice of a notebook processor. * AMD: Turion 64 * Transmeta: Crusoe and Efficeon * Intel: Centrino, Pentium M, Core Duo and the budget Celeron M * Freescale Semiconductor makes the PowerPC processors used in the non-Intel Apple Computer notebooks. Cell phones and PDAs require microcontrollers that use even less power than notebook processors.

Is there any application that needs more processing power than i7 processors?

Many. The data crunching done by server frames and super computers is done by tens or even hundreds of multiple-core processors joined to process a single task. High-end single-processor server applications also require 12 or even 16 core processors in some instances. High end rendering will probably strain an i7 for a home user, but this is moot, considering the top-end i7 is the best performing processor in almost every task it is given.

Do I need a Intel processor in my Mac to play private online games?

It will depend on how the game was written. Many online games require Adobe's Flash Player which will work on Macs with Intel processors and older G5/G4 processors.

Why are rocks better than computers?
