Why do questions asking about the origins of animals and evolution which have religious beliefs mentioned in the answer nearly always only have the Christian beliefs on these issues mentioned?

Answer:
There are several possibilities. There is no purposeful bias toward Christian opinions, even though many may claim otherwise. It is possible that the question tends to interest Christians more than believers of other faiths. Typically, Christians who are more fundamentalist in their approach would consider this kind of question worthy of attention. Members of other faiths may have opinions about origins, but feel less compelled to outline them on a site light this. It is also possible that people from some faiths may feel that their opinions will be less welcome here, and that would be unfortunate.

Anyone who has spent time here knows that questions and answers in religion and faith categories are often the most controversial and volatile materials on the site. But I have seen no blatant attempts to systematically exclude or censor materials offered in support of non-Christian points of view. There may be isolated cases where very zealous believers in one faith have stated their positions against other faiths a little too strongly. We all need to be vigilant against that kind of bias.
