Why do some cats eat with there paws We have had 2 cats that do this and I wonder why they do this and is this a good thing for them to be doing even after coming out of there litter box.?In: Cats

I don't know why your cats do this, but I wouldn't worry about their cleanliness. Cats are notorious for being very clean animals. Even if your cat wasn't eating with his paws, he would still be licking them, regardless of wether or not he just came out of the litter box. They also lick their private areas, so it can't be too unhealthy for them!
ANOTHER PERSPECTiVE:
well. my cat had a problem with that... cuz the litter went down his stomach when he cleaned his paws and caused servere blockage of waste especially in the intestines.
A PERSPECTIVE: Some cats just don't like to stick their head in their food bowl therefore they will eat with their paws
YET ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE: Cats are very clean animals; therefore they might not want to get their face dirty.
