There are only four cats in the world that can roar: The Lion, Jaguar, Tiger and Leopard. These cats have specially-designed larynx's and hyoid bone in the throat that enables them to roar. No other species of cat can roar. Cats roar for various reasons, including territorial proclamation, communication with other members, and anger.
It is now thought that all cats, even "big" cats that can roar, can purr. Big cats, with their specially-designed throats, can only make a purring sound when exhaling, and not in a constant stream like other cats. It is unclear why cats purr, although it is well known that domestic cats purr when content, to show affection or to comfort themselves when sick or in pain.
It is just the way they are. Some humans can sing better than others it is basically the same principle.
They go meow really loudly

Cats will meow loudly when they are alarmed. It is likely that the "special box for adoption" is an entirely new place for them; it's a strange place, with no place to hide, and they don't know what to expect. I think I'd be alarmed in such a situation myself.
When cats drink, they stick their ngue in the water, cup the tongue, pull it back into thier mouth and then swallow it. What you are hearing is the impact of the tongue against the water.
If they are my cats.. all the time, and far too often around me.
they are cats&they are weird. bahahaha :]
The only cats that never get hairballs are Sphynx cats (which are hairless.) Some cats get hairballs more often than others, especially if they are long-haired cats. Hairballs are a way of getting rid of ingested hair, so you can prevent hairballs by feeding cats something like Petromalt, which allows them to pass the hair rather than throwing it up.
Some cats like bread. One of my cats liked bagels.
Some people say so, others prefer cats.
Bigger then some cats but smaller then others
Mice and birds do often get eaten by cats.
Many, many cats love to play with running water. I often have to turn on the bathtub faucet very slightly, so it drips, because otherwise my older cat will sit in the bathroom and yowl really loudly until I do.
