Well this is really a complex question sometimes it is totally accidental and other time the mothers are just cruel and terrible. But in some cases the mother may have a mental condition that caused her to do it thinking it was best. In some countries/religions people believe that if you send your child/baby in with a bomb to help your country that it will go to heaven.
in old times mothers used to kill there babies in fear that hey would be bad and or a shame to the family they used to bury their daughters they also thought it is a shame to have a daughter

Tiger babies suckle milk from their mothers.
Are you certain you should? Most animal mothers kill or eat their young because there is something wrong with them (the young).
Mothers seldom kill their babies intentionally, it is usually because they can't survive. In some cases a mother may make a choice because of a lack of food.
Hello there, yes hamsters drink their mothers milk just like animals and also babies. Because as for mothers milk it is supposed to be healthy. And as for babies it's healthy for them too and if they don't like it they drink Enfamil milk of some sort. Hope this helped :)
Yes. :) They are very good mothers and take care of their babies well- they feed them, make sure they are warm, and make sure that they don't leave the nest until they're old enough to do so safely. A mother mouse may kill one of her babies if it is a runt or has some other defect (often that we are not aware of). If her litter is just too big for her to take care of, she may kill a few of the babies to make sure that the rest get properly fed and cared for. Usually this does not happen unless the litter is greater than about 13 or 14.
