I think because she is very reliable and smart, and people believe those are the two traits a president should have. Of course Obama doesn't have those, and people think she would make a better president than him.

Technically, you only need to be 35 years of age and a U.S. citizen to be elected president. And, yes, Sarah Palin would've been a better choice than Obama. I have asked this question because when John McCain introduced her as his VP running mate in 2008 she was an unknown. Immediately Republicans jumped on the Sarah Palin bandwagon as if they really knew anything about her. There are many people that are smart and experienced in politics that have much more experience and credibility than Sarah. I really believe the reason that people are assuming she is qualified is because she is an attractive lady and John McCain introduced her to the world. It will take more than attractiveness, smartness and John McCain's intro to convince me that she is capable of assuming the most powerful position in the world. If you look at her educational background versus Obama's there is no comparison. He is far ahead.
