Why do people like trees?

In attempting to answer this question, one must first try to determine the the original purpose of the question. I have submitted below two possible simple ansers for the question in hopes that one of the two will satisfy the original "intent" of the question.

a) Trees main use by man is for the purpose of construction and develpment of a society that is benificial to mankind. In this, understand that our first "advanced" modes of shelter, was in the form of logs or lumber as one might have it. To dwell on the reason would not only be foolish but a waste of time for the average individual.

b) Trees are usefull or should I say necessary for the continued existence of mankind in that stomata from the leaves of trees are the agents that take in our "waste" breath or Carbon Dioxide and convert it to oxygen that is necessary for all humans. Without this exchange among man and nature, our lives as we know it could not continue. You see, just as we need trees, so do trees need our exhaled respirations.

In primitive situations, they can be used as fuel for a fire. The majority of all domestic homes are built with wood. They provide us with oxygen, a place to sit under on a hot day.

We owe everything under the sun to the plants. All energy comes from the sun. All plant life absorbs the sunlight and converts it into energy that they can use. The we either eat that plants fruit or an animal eats that plant, then we eat the animal.

Trees produce oxygen and they also produce food for animals. They look good in peoples' yards and provide decor.
