We see the same side of the moon , as we both themoon and the earth rotate at the same speed almost. It is a phenomenon called "tidal locking". The moon once rotated as it revolved around the earth. As time went by, the moon gradually slowed it's rate of rotation due to the earth's gravity causing friction on the moon's surface. It eventually stopped rotating and that's how it been ever since.

How fast does the moon turn?

The moon turns one complete spin every 27.32 days. It also happens to make onecomplete trip around the earth in exactly the same length of time, and the result isthat the same 'face' of the moon is always turned to face the earth.

Do you see the moon at the same time every night?

no

Does the moon set at the same time every day?

No

Why would you choose this topic does the moon rise every night at the same time and in the same location in the sky?

No. Moonrise can occur day or night. The moon is not related to the sun at all. Since our way of measuring time is relative to the sun, the moon does not rise at the same time every time.

Would it be possible to see the moon at the same time for 4 weeks?

No, because every three of four days, the moon's phases changes and sometimes you cannot see the moon every four weeks the same time.

Why does the moon look like the same in the sky?

Because the moon takes the same time to rotate once on its axis - as it does to go around the earth. Therefore we see the same side of the moon every time.

Is Ramadan celebrated the same time every year?

No, it does not celebrated the same time every year because it depends on when the new moon starts.

Does the moon do a full rotation every 12 hours and 25 min?

No. The Moon rotates synchronously - its rotational period is the same as its orbital period. So the same face of the Moon is always visible. Since it takes the Moon about 27 days to orbit the Earth once, that's also the time it takes for the Moon to rotate once.

Does the moon remain still as it orbits around the earth?

The moon's orbital speed around the Earth is about 1.02 Km/s. Think carefully about the question. Orbiting is a motion, so the moon cannot possibly be still while it orbits. Perhaps you are wondering about the moon spinning on its axis. It is easy to see that some people might think that the moon does not spin on its axis, since the same face orients toward earth all the time. However, the moon does have to spin on its axis, one time for every orbit. This is why the same face orients toward earth all the time.

Why you always see the same sides of the moon?

Relative to the Earth, the Moon makes one rotation every 27.32 days. That happens to also be the time it takes for the Moon to complete one revolution around the Earth. Therefore the same side of the moon is more or less always pointed toward the Earth and we only see that same side. The moon orbits around the earth once every month. It happens that the rotation of the moon on its axis is tidally locked with the earth. This means that the moon's rotational period is equal to its orbital period around the earth. For every monthly revolution around the earth, the moon has one rotation on its axis. So wherever the moon happens to be in its orbit, the moon has rotated enough so that the same face (for the most part) is toward the earth. There is an interesting phenomenon called libration (an apparent motion, not a true motion) that makes the moon appear to swing a little back and forth, and up and down. But on average, there is one rotation for every revolution. If this were not true, every part of the moon's surface would face earth at one time or another.

Why do you see the same side of the moon all the time?

It is just one of those strange coincidences that the Moon takes the same amount of time to rotate as it does to orbit us, which is why you see the same face all the time. In fact we can see more than half of it, but there is a lot of the moon we never get to see.

Are the moon phrases predictable?

maybe,if you know your moon phrases and it repeats its self exactly the same every single time
