If you were outside when doing this looking down at the ground would probably make you more dizzy as you are watching the floor move round, whereas looking at the sky is further away, and so there wouldn't be as much movement of things going round for you to struggle to focus on. So as well as going experiencing the momentum of spinning you are also watching something spin too, which may make people dizzy by itself.
It's best to alternate between looking up and looking down, as you will get dizzy and lose balance instantly.

What causes 11 year old girl to take dizzy turns
I have suffered from severe dizziness upon lying down and turning my head in the past. I researched it and found a syndrome called BPPV. You may want to plug this into a search engine and see if it sounds like your problem.
place the head between the leg
Sit down and relax. Probably get ice for your head too.
I had what was described as Labrynthitis (sp?) My head was stuffed, I felt dizzy, my eyes felt like they were rolling. Ask your doctor about it. It is an inner ear infection.
might be vertigo or blood pressure
Poor circulation in your head, or damage to organs in your head. Lack of air/blood is the most common cause.
