Symbolically rubs the lessons and good fortune back unto you

Answer:

Rubbing anything is not good luck. Rubbing the stomach of a Chinese folk hero with little or no connection to Buddhism would seen to be a good example of this. "Luck" is not part of the Buddhist way of looking at the Universe. A seeking for "Luck" is acting on the desire to have things better than they are, desire leasds to suffering (as stated in the Four Noble Truths) and suffering is what Buddhists seek to avoid through enlightenment.

You don't.

Same as kissing a horseshoe or the blarney stone, rubbing a rabbit's foot, crossing your fingers, or any other :goodluck" superstition these is no effect on probability that results from these actions.
