If the children voted, they may make the wrong decision and the person they vote for may turn the area into a disaster if that person is elected. When you are 18, you will understand who and why you are voting for that person.

The right to vote is given to adults, those who are considered able to make a valid and informed decision.

In the United States, for national, state and local elections you must be 18 years old to vote. This was established by a constitutional amendment (the 26th). In national elections, if you will be 18 by the date of the general election, you can vote in the primary elction for your party in your state.

Because when people turn 18, they are classified as adults, for boys, they are no longer boys at 18, they are men, as for girls, they are classified as women(although this may vary from country to country).
